2. Shoes on the Danube PromenadeBudapest The monument ,a row of about 40 metres long, consists of 60 pairs of iron shoes, created by the sculptor GyulaPauer and his filmmaker friend, Can Togay. It is a memorial dedicated to the victims of the fascist Arrow Cross party members . Not once did the Arrow Cross soldiers break into the homes of the Jews and forced them to march along the city in a row. Once arrived to the Danube, they were standing in a line, facing the river and their death. Those who tried to help them shared the same fate – they were also shot ! The victims had to take their shoes off before they were shot.The iron shoes were placed on the embankment in 2005, on 16th April. Each pair was modeled after a contemporary shoe from the 1940's.

9. Names of victims disappeared or died during the Nazi terror are engraved on almost each of the 30,000 leaves of the Tree ofLife in the Raoul Wallenberg Park (named after the Swedish diplomat who helped many Jews to escape from deportation in 1944-45)

13. The Carl Lutz Memorial is standing against a white wall on a tiny plaza at 10 ,Dob Utca in Budapest. Lutz (1895-1975) as a Swiss diplomat had great connections with the Germans and Palestine thus he was able to help many Jews to flee form the terror.
