Properties seleted for Inscription Roman Fortress „Gerulata“ in Bratislava – Rusovce Roman Fort „Kelemantia“ in village of Iža
Criteria for selection • Common statement of OUV with already inscribed sites • Unique values within the framework FRE • Adequate state of conservation • Adequate state of presentation • Adequate legal protection of site and buffer zone • Stakeholders identified with aims of inscription • Adequate state of integrity and authenticity • Adequate management system
Iža - Kelemantia • Core zone: For inscription - area within the borders of National Cultural Monument (NKP) „Roman Military Camp Kelemantia“
Iža - Kelemantia • Monuments Board SR settled with Cadastral office on actual and correct demarcation of the site in cadastral maps with matching protection codes • Part of the process being a new exact measuring of the site
Iža - Kelemantia • Ownership clarification: • 2009 negotiations to settle the proprietory relationships • resulting in agreement that the disputed lots will be transfered from Slovenský vodohospodársky podnik to VÚC Nitra (Danube Museum in Komárno)

Rusovce - Gerulata Core Zone: borders of National Cultural Monuments (NKP) „Roman Military Camp Gerulata“ Lots: 114, 115
Rusovce - Gerulata • The whole „camp“ is larger than NKP • Only the legally protected part is proposed for inscription
Rusovce - Gerulata • Proposal for extension of NKP already exists, based on results of archeological research • To date current municipality of Rusovce does not support extention – new negotiations after communal elections on 27 November
Rusovce - Gerulata • Meeting at the Ministry of Culture – 15 July 2010 • looking for possibilities of preservation of the whole military camp • results: • Ministry will iniciate negotiations with Pozemkový fond (national fund of allotments) about transfer of grounds • Municipality of Rusovce will apply for a grant to prepare spatial planning documentation
Rusovce - Gerulata • Buffer zone: borders of Protective Historic Zone Rusovce (folk architecture – declared in 1990)
