North Kiama Bypass Slag Spalls • Used as drainage layer • 90,000 tonnes • Larger size • Air Cooled Blast Furnace Slag
North Kiama Bypass Steel Furnace Slag Aggregates • Used in Dense Grade Asphalt • 70,000 tonnes • Chosen on basis of economics
Northern Distributor Extension Pavement Quantities: • Heavily Bound Base – 60 000 m2 • Asphalt - 25 000 tonnes

Asset Management Roadbase: • Used by Bomaderry Works Depot • Pavement Rehabilitation Projects • Less moisture sensitivity • Easier to recommence work after rain • Hot weather may require extra resources to maintain moisture content
