  2. Meet our target public • Target Public: Florida A&M Sophomores • As of Spring 2012, there are 2,400 sophomores at FAMU. • Explanation: Sophomore year is a transitional period in a student’s college career.

  3. Meet our target public cont’d • By sophomore year, students have become acclimated to the college culture • During this period students begin to venture out into the various clubs and organizations Florida A&M University offers

  4. Measurable objectives • To inform 65% of FAMU sophomores about FAMU’s zero-tolerance hazing policy • To persuade 30% of FAMU sophomores to take action by signing an anti-hazing pledge by Oct. 14, 2012.

  5. Measurable objectives cont’d • To persuade 30% of sophomores to attend an anti-hazing block party on Oct. 15, 2012. • To persuade 30% of sophomores to wear an anti-hazing bracelet symbolizing their commitment against hazing by Dec. 5, 2012

Lessons Learned What We Could Have Changed What Worked Well • We found that a consistent amount of sophomores would engage in our anti-hazing tactics. • We learned that people view hazing differently. • We should have found out what students found useful about the mandatory anti-hazing forum. • We used a mutually exclusive question on our survey.
