Why is the rainforest so Important? Rainforests are important because they provide habitats for animals they also clear away things that damage the environment and if we cut down so much we will have less oxygen than we have now.
Why are people cutting the rainforest down? • Lumber jacks are cutting down the trees because companies hire them to for hard wood furniture. • If they cut down to much than animals will become extinct. • And if they cut down so many trees then the oxygen levels will go down. • For ranching cattle and sheep. • For villages.
What are some Solutions to deforestation? • One way is to stop wasting paper • Another way is to recycle or reuse paper • Don’t print a lot of stuff and keep clicking print because the next day you may find a lot of copies wasted. • Remember REDUSE , REUSE, RECYCLE!!!!
Ranching the rainforest Rancher own large areas of the Amazon rainforest. They burn an area of the rainforest so they can feed cows, but it is a waste because they get killed for beef then the beef goes to the restaurants. After 3 or 4 years the goodness in the soil will disappear so ranchers have to clear a new area for the cows.
Dams in the rainforest People use the Amazon river to make hydroelectricity. This can help on air pollution but also has consequences. The river floods and animals and even sometimes humans die!
Oxygen levels If we cut down to many trees the oxygen levels on the planet will go down. If we don’t stop our careless actions , later there will be less oxygen left on the planet . That can also affect humans. population.
