Applying Graduate Management Admissions Test • GMAT is comprised of 4 sections: • Quantitative (Math) • Verbal (Critical Reading) • Integrated Reasoning (IR) – analyze data presented in different forms • Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA) – 30-minute essay analyzing a given argument • Computer Adaptive Test (CAT) format • Total score: 200-800 • Test time: 4 hours

Applying MBA Application • Education History & Grades • Letters of Recommendation • Two letters of recommendation from supervisors or college professors • Application Essays • Typically 3 essays per school • “What are your career goals and how will an MBA help you achieve those goals?” • Application Interviews • Conducted on-campus or by a local alumnus
MBA Program MBA Coursework • Year 1: Core classes • Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Economics, Operations Management, Human Resources, etc. • Typically taken within a cohort/section of 40-50 students, often with assigned study groups (4-6 students) • Year 2: Specialized classes focusing on intended major • Students typically focus studies within 1-2 majors • Finance, Marketing, Corporate Strategy, Entrepreneurship, International Business, Organizational Behavior, Operations Management, Real Estate, etc.
