University Certificate – Introductory Award in Education and Training • 20 credits at level 4 • Flexible delivery pattern to suit demand • Opportunities for peer observation • No teaching required • Micro teach • Can be APCLed free to Diploma Module 1 - need to do extra observations to catch up (for 4 in Year 1)

  5. University Certificate in Education and Training • 40 credits level 4 • Flexible delivery pattern to suit demand • 1-1 teaching and coaching accepted • Planning, teaching and assessing • Lesson observations x 3 x 1 hour • Can be APCLed free into Diploma (Module 1 and 2)

Diploma in Education and Training • 120 credits - 60 at level 4 & 60 at level 5 • ProfGCE option retained at level 6 • Flexible delivery pattern to suit demand • 6 modules – 20 credits each • 100 hours teaching required • Group teaching required • Opportunities for peer observation • Revamped curriculum – eg Behaviour management & Resources added.

English or Maths for Teachers • 20 credits at level 0 (level 3 equivalent) • Improve personal skills in English or Maths • Build confidence in own skills in English or Maths • Raise awareness of difficulties for learners • Ideas for supporting learners with English or Maths • Opportunities for peer observation • No teaching required • 7 weeks attendance (3 hours per week)

Introductory award / Certificate: English or Maths Introductory award • Personal skills in English and Maths and issues for learners • Planning and teaching English or Maths • Microteach • Can be APCLed free to Diploma with a subject specialist pathway (Module 1) Certificate • Personal skills in English and Maths and issues for learners • Planning and teaching English or Maths • Lesson observation • Can be APCLed free to Diploma with a subject specialist pathway (Module 1 and 5) 20 credits at Level 5 40 credits at level 5

Diploma in Education and Training with a subject specialist pathway • 120 credits. 50% of teaching in specialist area. • Modules 1 and 5 are completed with a subject specialist group (English or Maths). • English pathway includes ESOL or Literacy. • Modules 2, 3, 4 and 6 are taken with generic group but with contextualised assessment and additional reading (on CLIC) • Module 1 and 3 taken at level 5.

  10. Integrated Specialist Diploma in Teaching English (ESOL or Literacy) • 120 credits • Fully integrated diploma, all content subject specific. • 100 hours of teaching in ESOL or Literacy at two distinct levels.

  11. Introductory award in Teaching Disabled Learners Introductory award • Planning and teaching for working with Disabled Learners • Microteach • Suitable for 1-1/coaching roles • Can be APCLed free to Diploma with a subject specialist pathway (Module 1) 20 credits at Level 5

  12. Diploma in Education and Training with a subject specialist pathway – Teaching Disabled Learners • 120 credits. 50% of teaching in specialist area. • Modules 1 and 5 are completed with a subject specialist group. • Modules 2, 3, 4 and 6 are taken with generic group but with contextualised assessment and additional reading (on CLIC) • Module 1 and 3 taken at level 5.
