  13. US DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY SBInet AND BOEING CUSTOMER: US Department of Homeland Security – SBInet Program PRIME: Boeing Integrated Defense Systems DEPLOYMENT: Boeing Systems Integration Lab (SIL), ultimately for consideration to help protect the US Northern & Southern Boarder ESTIMATED PROGRAM BUDGET: Program Budget: $2B – $8B ICx SOLUTION: STS-4400 Radar (6 units @ 8/08) APPLICATIONSBInet is a program initiated in 2006 for a new integrated system of personnel, infrastructure, technology, and rapid response to secure the northern and southern land borders of the United States.

  14. SPAWAR BARRY M. GOLWATER AIRFORCE RANGE CUSTOMER: SPAWAR Systems Center, Charleston SC PRIME: BAE Systems DEPLOYMENT: Barry M. Goldwater Air Force Range, Yuma Arizona ESTIMATED TOTAL BUDGET: $2.5M - $5.0M ICx SOLUTIONS: STS-12000 (3 units, 1-07) APPLICATION Marine Corps air-training exercises were being interrupted due to illegal aliens passing through the bombing range. Installing the STS-12000 radars to detect the intruders, with Border Patrol doing interdiction, has eliminated the training down-time due to range intrusions.

  15. US BORDER PATROL GLOBAL TECHNICAL SYSTEMS CUSTOMER: US Border Patrol, Douglas Arizona Station PRIME: Global Technical Systems (GTS) DEPLOYMENT: North Cherry Hill, Douglas Arizona ESTIMATED TOTAL BUDGET: $2.5M ICx SOLUTION: STS-12000 (1 unit, 1-07) APPLICATIONHeavy drug traffic between the Mexican border and the outskirts of Douglas Arizona; US Border Patrol sought a detection system to monitor the very rugged terrain to reduce response time for ICE Agents. A wireless STS-12000 system on a mobile lift system monitors two drug corridors leading to drop houses. The radar System has been highly effective at detecting illegal traffic. .

  27. 30 RADAR SYSTEMS

  28. Comparison – Radar Performance page 31 page 31

  29. Radar Comparison – Blind Spots FMCW detects a higher percentage of valid intruders Doesn’t depend on intruder walking a minimum speed Doesn’t depend on the intruder walking in a certain direction The FMCW radar is in charge of detection, not the intruder as is the case with Pulse Doppler No Low Detection Areas Areas of Low Detection Likelihood Pulse Doppler FMCW page 32

  30. Radar Comparison – Camera Operation ICx radars match camera beamwidths much better than pulse Doppler radars, accurately designating cameras automatically Pulse Doppler radars do not ensure intruder is in field of view, requiring manual override to find target – no automatic operation Pulse Doppler generally means an operator for each radar, to evaluate false alarms and find the target page 33

  31. Product Mix page 34 page 34

  32. Product Overview • Multiple programmable detection/non-detection zones • Low False Alarm Rate (3 max in 24 hours) • Only radars ever to pass USAF requirement • Low radiated power (no radiation hazard at any range) • Multiple radars on a Control Station • All radar models controlled by single Control Station • Automatic camera slewing to target • Integrates with Cameleon for multiple camera control page 35

  41. Cameleon Professional Services Typical On-Site Commissioning and Configuration • 2 trips of 5 days (for 1 to 3 radars and <10 cameras) • 1 trip of 3 days for training Rough Order of Magnitude Costs for Driver Development • Non API based camera control - $7500 • Non API based camera control with Tracking capability - $10k • API based encoder driver – $15 to $20k • Access control driver - $20 to $30k • Analytics driver - $20 to $30k • Radar driver - $20k • All custom drivers require that equipment be shipped to Victoria for development and testing. • API based custom drivers require that the manufacturer have an API available to ICx.

  42. 45 TACTICAL PLATFORMS

  43. Mobile Tactical Platforms SkyWatch • 25 ft. elevation • Surveillance packages available • Ballistic protection available • High Profile deterrent presence SkyWatch Two Man Cab • All the features of SkyWatch with a bigger compartment • Roughly 2 ft. longer • Provides for increased two man capability • Convertible to FAA standards for ATC towers Cerberus • Increased surveillance and sensor capability • Increased customizable platform • MSS version • Skid Mounted • Sling loaded • 100 ft. tower

  44. Fixed Tower One application use only High difficulty in moving along w/ high expense Poor vantage point should needs change only slightly Poor investment over time Scalability is limited Mobile Tower Adaptability to meet changing needs Optimum vantage points Much higher return on investment Easy and inexpensive to move Highly scalable Tower Comparison: Mobile vs. Fixed
