  1. Role of Analytics in enhancing Business Resiliency

  2. Data complexity….. Data is growing at rapid speed and huge volumes of data is further fueling the complexity and forcing IT to rethink about the traditional back up and recovery approaches. • Data is every where today, in cloud, at network edge and in in-house data centers • Enterprises can no longer meet the operational demands with the traditional approaches • Companies need deeper insights in to the data in order to efficiently handle enterprise operations related to workloads, client, resources and service levels • Analytics is one more major challenging aspect to perform on huge volumes of data

  3. Analytics….. Modern day enterprises are leveraging best from business data analytics to gain deeper insights in to information itself and for better understanding of business demands. • Effective data analytics empowers enterprises to proactively prioritize the data • Helps in predicting resource utilization • For efficient risk mitigation • Resource Optimization Companies can leverage analytics to achieve optimized resource utilization which in turn reduces the pressure on resources and manage the expenses effectively

  4. Analytics (Continued)….. Data back up and recovery can be best achieved with the outcome of three major types of analytics: • Predictive Analytics • Environmental Analytics • Retrospective Analytics Due to ever growing complexities in data management, enterprises need to think beyond traditional in-house data center practices to manage the data. Backup and recovery of data responsibilities need to be accomplished with emerging Cloud technologies, Virtualization and Mobile platforms.

  5. Predictive analytics….. Predictive analytics provides key benefits for back-up and recovery practices. This approach draws crucial information from historical data patterns and helps in prediction of future resource needs and identifying probable resource conflicts that can occur in future. • Empowers IT to plan upfront for future needs such as additional capacity purchase by which the potential resource scarcity issues can be eliminated. • Eases the operational demands of backup and recovery • With better insights, enterprises can leverage best from existing back up investment • Predictive analytics is an effective tool in automation with which enterprises can save time, money and management efforts

  6. Environmental analytics…. Enterprises today need to understand the data and the value that it adds to the overall organization performance. • Environmental analysis enables IT to define the various data management aspects. • Enables better managing, back up and data transparency • Supports overall business objectives.

  7. Retrospective analysis Enables IT teams to gain deeper insights in to success and health of backup processes, optimization areas and resource utilization. • IT can complete backups tasks on time without disruptions • Better data protection can be achieved with Retrospective analysis • Builds confidence in back-up administrators and infrastructure operations team to capably meet the service level agreements • Empowers enterprises to meet the compliance and governance policies pertaining to specific industry or business vertical
