  3. GU24 All Lamps & Sockets Features & Benefits' GU24 based CFL lamps are due to an EPA initiative to replace the old Edison base. Motivation was to eliminate “snap back” which is when a user goes back to incandescent for any number of reasons. When a fixture has GU24 sockets one cannot screw in any bulb with a different base. To convert a GU24 socket to any other base is illegal and dangerous. GU24 Lamps • 90°C Max. Ballast Case Temperature • Fits all fixtures with GU24 base • Small size fits all standard fixtures • Broad number of wattages and sizes • Long life - up to 10,000 hours • All fixture types can be use GU24 lamps including indoor and outdoor types. GU24 Sockets • Complete line of mounting options • 3 wattages of socket ballasts with ANSI 4PIN PL lamp socket and GU24 base available in 120V and 277V versions. MaxLite “socket ballasts” are one of a few with a 277V option • All pre-wired with custom wire lengths available • Sized to fit all your fixtures that require a GU24 base • UL compliant

  6. GU24 All Lamps & Sockets Applications The main market for GU24 lamps are OEM customers and replacement lamps via electrical distributors or retail. After a simple thermal test with a MaxLite ES rated GU24 bulb & the OEM’s fixture an OEM can have the fixture listed as ES rated. MaxLite is one of the largest world wide suppliers of GU24 lamps to OEM’s. MaxLite was one of the first to sell GU24 sockets, this was before the major lamp socket manufactures made GU24 sockets. Today we keep a few sockets in the line for smaller domestic OEM customers. All fixture types can be use GU24 lamps including indoor and outdoor types.
