Planning for NOCTI Testing Which tests? (pre, post, written, performance, test titles?) Which mode of administration? (online, paper/pencil?) How many sessions? (180 minutes, 2 sessions of 90 minutes, 3 sessions of 60 minutes) What are the test dates? What accommodations are needed? What is our contingency plan? Does the assessment have a Technical Manual to review? What resources do we have to help students become “test-wise”?

Strategies To Improve Student Performance Work with your Site Coordinator Attend NOCTI Web Seminars Pre Testing Students Utilize multiple testing sessions Implement all testing accommodations for IEP students Design classroom tests that are similar in format to the NOCTI assessment. Practice the question format all year long with your students. Flexible schedule for Performance Testing Incorporate Study Guides within the assessment process (Two Months Prior to the Post Assessment)
