CUSTOM MOTORCYCLES DESIGNED and Built In England • Experts in the highly skilled art of restoration, the renowned RPM engineers and technicians utilise their deep understanding of historical Italian motorcycle marques (MV Agusta, Laverda, Benelli, Moto Guzzi) in order to rewind time and recreate exquisite, museum-quality, restorations and replicas.

  6. Sympathetic Restoration • Clients sometimes come to us wanting limited work done where the patina of their motorcycle is maintained but requiring it to be returned to full working order. Often the work we do depends on the rarity of the machine and may involve refurbishing the paint work and renewing the wire harness. • Full Ground Up Restoration • When you require a full restoration your bike is completely disassembled and every part thoroughly refurbished by vapour blasting, plating, painting and so forth. Your motor would be completely stripped down and all bearings and seals replaced. • Ray Petty Meccanica is fully equipped with the tools and expertise to carry out all types of restorations on Ducatis and on other Italian motorcycles.

This also enables us to carry out improvements, ranging from full restorations to any component upgrade you may want to add to your motorcycle. We are official dealers of Rizoma performance parts and supply and fit them as part of our bespoke service. • We are happy to work on all Ducati models: from the Bevels and Singles of the 1970’s right up to the very latest models available today. Although our passion is for Ducati, we also work on all Italian bikes, including Motoguzzi, MV Augusta, Laverda and Benelli.

Winning the Best in Class with the stunning 1974 Duacti 750SS, following a 6 month restoration which included a top end rebuild and sourcing some of the hardest to locate parts imaginable, finished off with over 100 hours of detailing. With the Concours d’Elegance judges commenting on the originality of the motorcycle. • Ray Petty commented… “To say we’re delighted would be an understatement, I grew up with these motorcycles so I know exactly how they should look. For the judges to comment on those small details makes me and my team incredibly proud to be able to present such a fantastic machine”.

  9. ROUTINE MAINTENANCE • of your Ducati • The routine maintenance or service of your motorcycle is all about prevention rather than cure. We see our clients mostly once a year, depending of level of use, for a scheduled service. If you use your Ducati for commuting or frequently for other purpose, we recommend that you bring it in at least twice per year.

Most of the time this means taking preventative measures on the known troublesome areas of your motorcycle.

  11. THE WAY WE • work • When a client comes in for a routine service of their Ducati we start at one end and work our way through to the other. Once we ascertain what needs doing we contact you and discuss your requirements. From our experience this is the best approach in servicing your highly prized machine. Your Ducati needs a great deal of care and expertise to maintain it in its optimal condition.

  12. SMALL CHANGES • big impact • You can change the whole character of a motorcycle by just changing the handlebars and mirrors. Even other subtler changes can often make a big difference. • We know that manufacturers spend huge resources in research and development when bringing a new motorcycle to market therefore not all customisation ideas are good ones. Chopping and changing parts because you can does not always make a better motorcycle. It can become an unpleasant or even a dangerous machine. • When a client comes to us with their customisation ideas we give them the benefit of our experience. We can usually tell straight away whether an idea is going to work and can steer you in a direction where at the end of the process you will still have a functioning motorcycle.
