Graduation Requirements • 26 Total Credits • 4 English (Eng. I, II, III, IV) • 4 Math (must include Alg. I, Geometry, and Alg. II) (Alg. II is REQUIRED!) • 3 Social Studies (Soc. Studies Survey, World Civ., U.S. History) • 3 Science (Integrated Sci., Biology, Physical Science or Chemistry)
1 Visual and Performing Arts (HAVPA) • 2 World Languages (Chinese I, II, Spanish I, II or French I, II) • 1 Fitness and Wellness • 8 Electives -- 4 of which must be in a career pathway AND a technology competency course. (refer to your course directory)

NEW THIS YEAR! • 2 Block Course at JCTC • Students will enroll in a pathway, not individual courses. • JCTC will assign students to courses. • If you took a singleton course and want to continue that pathway, meet with your counselor during the actual registration to discuss options. • You will not be able to take back to back blocks, JCTC will accommodate juniors only with scheduling each semester.

Commonly Asked Questions • Yes, it’s true. You will only be able to take one elective your junior year. • AP Courses are weighted grades A = 5 quality points B = 4 quality points C = 3 quality points D = 2 quality points F = 0 quality points
Accelerated Courses are also weighted! • A = 4.5B = 3.5C = 2.5D = 1.5F = 0
Kentucky Educational Excellence Scholarship KEES Base Award Amounts For each year you earn a 2.5 or better GPA, you can earn the base amount listed below. For instance, a high school freshman who earns a 3.5 GPA would have a $375 scholarship for each year of college. Amounts may change based on available funds.
ACT Bonus Award Amounts You can earn a bonus award for an ACT score of 15 or above. For example, a KEES-eligible student who has a score of 25 would earn an additional $393 for each year of college.
Scheduling Timeline • All English II classes will report to a computer lab to schedule on Tuesday, February 29. • You will us Infinite Campus to request courses this year! • Counselors will be available in the lab for questions!
