This project aims to develop easily manufactured, light-weight, stiff composite components for the RIT Formula SAE racecar. The primary market includes RIT Formula SAE Team members, while the secondary market targets weekend autocrossers. Stakeholders involved are the RIT FSAE Team and Dr. Alan Nye. The start date for the project was in February 2008 with a three-week schedule. Concepts being explored include Partial Monocoque and Composite Undertray from TU Graz, Partial Monocoque Roll Hoop Mounting from ETS, Composite Front Wing from UMR S&T, Full Monocoque from RMIT, and Diffuser Tunnels from TU Graz.
