  3. What is a myth? Stories told by ancestors of what they believed. Stories that have been proven to be untrue. The San believe that the Praying Mantis created the moon. The Egyptians believed the moon was the eye of Horus.

  4. How was the moon created? The moon was a piece of the Earth. The moon was captured. The moon was born out of gas.

  5. What is astronomy? The study of space. Moon, sun, stars and planets The study of space. The scientist is an Astronomer.

  13. Lunar eclipse The Earth comes between the Sun and the moon and blocks out light. It occurs during the night. It lasts for about 1 hour. It happens 2 to 3 times a year.

  14. Solar Eclipse The moon comes between the Sun and the Earth and blocks out light. It occurs during the day . It only happens every 3 to 4 years. It last for about 3 minutes.

  15. Conclusion So, does the moon influence your life? Directly no, the moon does not have an effect on me . However the moon does affect the ocean and the phases of the moon affects how bright the night will be. So, yes, the moon does effect me as to when I go to the beach and when it will be best to go camping, for the brightest moon to light up the camp site.
