BFI Roll version 4.0 This data sheet last updated: Aug 18, 2004 • Schedule Information: • Sprint Meeting ??/??/?? • Release to SDT (Win) ??/??/?? • Mac ??/??/?? • Available to customers ??/??/?? • Type of Roll: • Soft roll • Defects Fixed (cont): • Purpose of Roll: • To review and fix severe and high-want fixes for the product. • This roll will include Windows CDs • Planned Changes in this Roll: • Print Driver: • Powerpoint Crashes when printing (who added this?) • Scan Driver: • White Stripe on bottom of scan image found by press reviewer • 2003 Server /Scan (holds up print WHQL) • DHCP network rediscovery for scanning (DanC) • WIA Co-existence problems with older versions of wia .dll • Scan To App • Add default directory and file type ui as in Moab • Add select source dialog to ignore WIA • I/O: • Add Printer knocks all printers offline • Move to Converged I/O 4.0 (9x/ME instability) • 117594 – Network read/write errors when multiple clients connected. • Install/Uninstall • 130863 -- Turkish - Sending fax through fax driver results in an error and fax not sent 2k USB 1.1 sw 1st typical • 10882 -- Fax Driver not removed on Uninstall • 105716 – Error 1904, hpbmiapi.dll failed to register. • 101897-The communication mode does not match the Settings when IPX/SPX and TCP/IP are available and a BFI is installed on 2k/XP • Serial No. Test needs to work without CD. • 101959 – Finnish - User Guide shortcut from hp program group is invalid • 113793 – HW1st - Software Update doesn't create a shortcut icon • 117470 - English - MSIEXEC.EXE error occurs during Typical Install • 116618 - English - Inconsistent component options offered on the Installation Type screen • Infrared Port (Radio button/Text?) in installer • Ports screen shows up • 122626 – Installs done with newer cd versions appear to upgrade existing versions • Defects Fixed: • LSG00121034 - received faxes not preserved when printer is uninstalled • Italian Manual Duplex • Photoshop not dithering correctly • Fax Logs show “Device is Busy” message when viewed • 200MB memory used when viewing a 40 page fax • Planned Changes in this Roll: • CD Layout: • PDF Readme – Browser (Holly thing. ) • Fax Guides aren’t in enough languages (Aready done?Lance) • ScanTo MSI included on CD. • Need to Add Localized Readme’s • Update SYMreadme.txt for BFI instead of listing 1150/1300 CD • Including DL30xx Font Download utility on cd • File to email update, move Scrubber on CD • Toolbox: • Czech ScanTo pre-defined list is showing up as English (103235) (113680) • Hibernate Mode (122614) • red question marks displayed where images of fax pages expected on view fax pages (122419) • A networked BFI frequently doesn't display all of the expected 'scan to' folders following a printer power cycle. (118760) • Scan To destinations don’t launch • nvram init gets fax logs out of synch • Phonebook not present messages • Fax Phone Book import/export problems Hewlett-Packard Confidential
