  3. The biggest challenges in 2005 • Lack of knowledge  • Low motivation • Misunderstandigs • Lack of state support and resources • The role of class teacher • Cross-curricular theme within general education • Lack of time and money • Lack of traditions and support systems

  4. Areas of career education: • Mediating the career information • Career lessons • The first level career counselling • Events and projects to explore the world of work • Enterprising projects

  5. Mediating the career information • Mediating information about events, conferences, camps etc. • Introducing the educational system, schools and universities

  6. Introducing the University on Tartu

  7. Introducing the applied higher educational schools and universities

  8. Career lessons • Form 8: 10 hours per year • High school: lectures and workshops according to the needs and intrests of students

  9. The first level career counseling • Planning the career and road to eduction, choosing the final exams • Testing, giving feedback and career counselling at forms 9 and 11(General Aptitude Test, vocational preferences test) in co-operation with Youth Information and Counselling Centre of Tartu • Address students to professional career counsellor • Supporting student enterprises and projects
