  1. How addition of different sports has profited fantasy operators? Well, there were no problems as such in running fantasy cricket as the operators were anyway earning in millions. However, after introducing a few more games under their banner, few of the best fantasy apps in India are now making money in billions. Here’s how everything transformed – Cricket literally dominates any other sport in India. The craze for fantasy cricket leagues was enormous and users were making a lot of money from various fantasy cricket leagues. However, if you don’t revolutionise your game, users will lose interest soon. The introduction of 2nd innings fantasy, Live fantasy and Spot fantasy helped the operators but by adding more sports in their app, the users were now keen on playing other games as well as the users thought that they could earn a lot of money from other games as well. One needs to note a very important thing when we talk about the rise of other fantasy sports. During Lockdown, when the entire country came to a standstill, cricket was totally stopped. People across the country were playing board games like Ludo, Chess and other games like Poker, Teen Patti etc. So, the companies acted really smart and introduced all these on their platform and this ignited the urge of all the users to play different sports and earn money. During lockdown, a lot of them have lost their jobs and they were earning via online games. This made sense to them and there was a huge rise in the number of players in different fantasy apps. Fantasy football also got a huge boost and European countries started their season in the month of June in 2020 and since all the other live sports were shut, fantasy football gained a lot of new followers. If one notes then they will find that the fantasy apps have acted really smart during lockdown. Not only they gave everyone a purpose but also earned a lot during this time. Previously they were known only as fantasy cricket app but with the introduction of so many new games, you can’t really call them a cricket based app. Yes, most of the users are playing cricket on their platform but the number of users they have on their platform concerning other games is also pretty huge.
