What is Title 1? • Schools who receive supplemental federal funding due to the high percentage of low-income students. • 40 percent or more students on free or reduced-price lunch. • Title 1 funding is intended to close the achievement gap between low and high performing schools and ensure all children have the opportunity to obtain a high level of education and reach grade level proficiency
