  3. Solar Water Heater • What is Solar Water Heater? A Solar Water Heater is a device which provides hot water(up to 80 c) for bathing, washing, cooking, Industrial useage etc. using solar energy. It is generally installed at the terrace or where sunlight is available and heats water during day time which is stored in an insulated storage tank for use when required including mornings.

  5. Flat Plate Collectors This is the first Solar water heater launched world wide 25 years back. Only good water (under 200 ppm) can be used in this system. The solar radiation is absorbed by Flat Plate Collectors which consist of an insulated outer metallic box covered on the top with glass sheet. Inside there are blackened metallic absorber (selectively coated) sheets with built in copper channels or riser tubes to carry water. The absorber absorbs the solar radiation and transfers the heat to the flowing water.

  6. Evacuated Tube Collectors This is the Latest Solar water heater launched world wide 5 years back. All Type of water can be used in this system. In a cloudy days also it works better then FPC systems. The solar radiation is absorbed by Flat Plate Collectors which consist of an insulated outer metallic box covered on the top with glass sheet. Inside there are blackened metallic absorber (selectively coated) sheets with built in copper channels or riser tubes to carry water. The absorber absorbs the solar radiation and transfers the heat to the flowing water.
