The Project • To enable students to compare and contrast the experiences of Japanese minorities and those of minorities in the United States through the discipline of Ethnic Studies. • Ethnic Studies: culture, history, and perspective (interdisciplinary studies) • Students are asked to look at the experiences of minority groups from both the majority and minority perspectives. Project Assignment • Term Paper: compare and contrast the experiences of Japanese minorities and those of the minorities in the U.S. • Do library research • Write a term paper • Present it in class • Sub-topics to be included: 1.
