  2. Carnival in Barranquilla In the following reading, underline all the nouns. Barranquilla is a wonderful city that is rich in culture, music and life. Barranquilla's Carnival (Carnaval de Barranquilla) is celebrated 4 days before Ash Wednesday, and is broadly recognized as one of the world's largest Carnivals. Some residents even claim that it is second only to the Carnival in Rio de Janeiro. If you have never experienced Carnival in Barranquilla then you definitely need to add it to your list of events to experience and places to visit at least once in your life. Carnival in Barranquilla 2009 was a wonderful event, so get ready for the next one! The dates for Carnival de Barranquilla 2010 are February 13 - 16
