Overview: Goal: • Support project scoping for 2016 – 2018 STIP • Deliver inventory and condition assessment • Identify priority culverts needing repair or replacement • HMT “Priority Corridor Routes” Recommendations: • Basic Condition Application + Advanced Condition Application (BCA + ACA) • Resourcing Plan
Non-interstate: 1000 miles Completed: 600+ miles Remaining: 400 miles Interstate: 700 miles
Resource Plan • Centralized project management • Full-time project commitment • Field Crews – develop recruitment pool • Supplement with contractors/consultants where needed • IT/GIS • Project Management
Culvert Inventory Target Milestones Note: No significant field work during winter months (Nov 2013 – March 2014)
Other Agency Considerations Maintenance Involvement • Initial local knowledge • 1 employee, 1 day/section • Traffic control in Portland and like areas • Options for providing prep work (if available) • Rotational Opportunities Other ODOT staff involvement • Rotational Opportunities
Other Agency Considerations Non–Priority Corridor Culverts • Current culvert inventory efforts have been stopped but should be able to resume in Spring 2013. • Field crews must attend approved training • May require additional resources to provide support
