  7. III The Heart Of Morals • Pro.4:23 • Lord’s commentary: Lk.6:45 • Good heart = a good treasury • Its treasure: love of God/man • Bad heart = a bad treasury • Its treasure: carnal mind Enmity against God • Ill-will to man

  8. Mt.15:18-19 • It’s easy to avoid lawless acts: • Against the law • Fear getting caught, punished • This safeguard breaks down if we give sin its way. E.g.: 1 Sm.13:14 • A kindred spirit; one who agrees… • 2 Sm.11-12 [Mt.15] • Ps. 51:10
