Main Purposes of IPS Latvia Promote better integration and communication between the pharmacists in industry and with other sectors Promote high standards of education and professional training relevant to the needs of industrial pharmacy Expand the role of pharmacists within the industry Inform the Society of issues to impact on industrial pharmacy Promote the professional contribution of pharmacists in the pharmaceutical industry

IPS Latvia Activities 2006 • Founding of IPS rised big interest from other pharmacists in internet • Organised 5 meetings, regulary info by e-mail • Disscussed about rules, aim and main purposes of IPS, who can be member, prepared presentation • 4 publications in “Materia medica”, only pharmacists’ journal in Latvia, about activities

IPS Latvia Activities 2007 • Registered 16 members • Updated Rules on 13 Apr • Career days for students Apr • Continue with changing of experience: in spring in local drug producer Olainfarm • In autumn: 1-2 seminars about actualities • Participation in the 67th International FIP Congress Sept 2007 Beijing
