Chain of Custody Chain of Custody and product label A Chain of Custody is a well documented system that makes it possible to trace back the flow of wood raw material and products made of it, including every transfer from one party of the supply chain to the next. If a certain percentage of the wood raw material originates from a a certified forest and ALL parties involved in the supply chain have a certified Chain of Custody, the product manufacturer can apply for a product label.
