Reasons why people struggle with decision-making • You may not have enough information; • You may experience information overload, • You might not have decision-making confidence or much experience,or • You may face complicating personal factors--competing motives, financial concerns, or be so capable that it is hard to choose (college example).
Decision-making is complicated! • Different styles • Intuitive: rely on feelings • Data-based: rely on facts • Both OK, best to use a bit of both • Example: use one to inform the other
