E.O. 51, commonly referred to as, "The Milk Code",

What products does the Milk Code cover?>Breast milk substitutes, including infant formula and milk supplements>Foods, beverages, and other milk products (when marketed or represented to be suitable, with or without modification, for use as partial or total replacement for breast milk)>Bottle-fed complementary foods>Feeding bottles and teats.

  4. “STRENGTHENING THE INTEGRATION OF BREASTFEEDING EDUCATION IN THE CURRICULUM,SETTING UP AND SUSTAINING THE OPERATION OF LACTATION STATION INSCHOOLS AND COMPLIANCE WITH EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 51”

  7. >STRENGTHEN THE PROHIBITION =POSTING AND OR DISTRIBUTION OF ADVERTISEMENTS,PROMOTION OR MARKETING OF INFANT FORMULA OR RELATED PRODUCTS=DISTRIBUTION OF MILK SAMPLES AND SUPPLIES BY COMPANIESMANUFACTURING INFANT FORMULAS=DONATIONS FROM MANUFACTURER’S AND DISTRIBUTORS OF SUCH PRODUCTS AMONG OTHERS IN THE SCHOOL SETTING

  8. "Breastfeeding has distinct advantages which benefit the infant and the mother, including the hospital and the country that adopt its practice. It is the first preventive health measure that can be given to the child at birth. It also enhances mother-infant relationship. Furthermore, the practice of breastfeeding could save the country valuable foreign exchange that may otherwise be used for milk importation.
