Care Organizer All of my medications disappeared! Help My medication schedules are messed up in my to do list! 10s are showing up under 9 and it’s all weird! Why can’t I see when my new orders need to be confirmed? I have excluded PHM a bunch of times, but it keeps coming back. I see a med on my Active view (or Current Order sheet) that’s missing on my To Do screen My schedules are missing in the TO DO list. How do I get them back?
Q: All of my medications disappeared! Help! • A: Under the “View” menu in Care Organizer the “Medications” choice must be checked to see meds. Have caller open this menu. “Medications” has probably become unchecked. Click on “Medications” to recheck it. • Similar calls: I can’t see my IVs (make sure the “IVs” selection is checked); I see a bunch of random orders like for weight and admission” (make sure the “Orders” selection is unchecked) Missing meds No check next to Medications
Q: My medication schedules are messed up in my to do list! 10s are showing up under 9 and it’s all weird! • A: Click the “Refresh” button. Care Organizer does not have an auto refresh capability, so when you are logged into a WOW for more than 30 minutes or so, the schedules in work list get off. Refresh is ALWAYS the first troubleshooting measure • Similar Calls: the time in Care Organizer doesn’t match the computer time (Click refresh); Meds that I know are overdue are not displaying as overdue (Click refresh)
Q: Why can’t I see when my new orders need to be confirmed? • A: Make sure you are in the Active view. New orders for future dates or times will not display in the TO DO list, only current orders • A: Check the “Status” column. Sometimes it gets inadvertently dragged to other side of the “Comments” column on the far right of the screen. Have the user scroll to the far right, click on the “Status” column header and, while holding down the left mouse button, drag the column back to the left side of the screen • Similar Calls: All I can see is the Comments (have user drag Comments field all the way to the right) Drag this column to the left side of the screen
Q: I have excluded PHM a bunch of times, but it keeps coming back • A: The only way to maintain configuration settings in Care Organizer is to use the “Exit” button every time you leave the application. Do not use the red X in the corner • Similar Calls: I still see pending RT meds (PHM and RES should both be excluded when setting up configuration)
Q: I see a med on my Active view (or Current Order sheet) that’s missing on my To Do screen • A: The vast majority of time, this indicates that the “missing” dose has actually been stolen. Please see the Stolen Dose power point for how to address this issue • Similar Calls: the nurse on the previous shift said a med was due for me this shift but I don’t see it on my To Do screen; I had this patient yesterday and I know this med is supposed to be given but I don’t see it due anywhere. • See Admin-Rx Section for How to Handle Missing or Stolen Doses
My schedules are missing in the TO DO list. How do I get them back? Go to TO DO list in Care Organizer Click on the Show Worklist box at the bottom of the screen to display the schedules
