Simple Prayer • God does not need sophisticated prayer. • Come to Him as you are. • Tell Him everything like children. • Then, a slow shift in our interest to God’s will and way. Openness, Honesty, and Trust!
Prayer of the Forsaken • Deus Abscontius: God’s silence • No answer. We feel forsaken. • No dependence upon results • Purification • His silence is not permanent. • Wait on Him; wait silent and still.
Prayer of Relinquishment • 400 Level of the School of Gethsemane • “My will be done” vs. “Thy will be done” • Painful due to severing precious roots. • Struggle is an essential process. • A kernel of wheat (John 12:24) • Crucifixion of the will • Releasing with hope
Prayer of Relinquishment • Outcome: Dwelling with Him • “It is no longer I who live…” (Gal. 2:19-20) • Relinquishment is mandatory to all those who wants to mature in faith.
