  4. The Second Epistleof the Apostle Peter Introduction. Author: The Apostle Peter (1:1). • Present at transfiguration (1:16-18). • Warned of death by Jesus (1:14, cf. John 21:18,19).

  5. Introduction. Date: ca. 66-67 AD during Nero’s persecution shortly before Peter’s death in Rome (cf. I Peter 5:13). Jude & II Peter bear a strong resemblance to each other.
