HIMSS Vision & Mission Our Vision is advancing the best use of information and management systems for the betterment of healthcare. Our Mission is to lead the healthcare information and management systems field through knowledge sharing, advocacy, collaboration, and community affiliations.

Renewal of CPHIMS Certification Attaining certification is an indication of mastery of a well-defined body of knowledge at a point in time. Renewal is required every three years. • Documentation of 45 contact hours of continuing professional education over the three-year period.
