  1. DATE: 2009/05/04 • MAIL: • Hey Fernando, • we're experiencing an issue with the user registration. It keeps returning an error message • that the SSN is already in use. I experience this before when we moved the registration to • the https, but we were not able to reliably duplicate the issue. This time I've attached some • screen shots to show what I'm entering and the error that I get. The client code is 161-Accenture. • I've checked the database and there definitely is not an ssn with that number, • so I think it's an issue with the validation. See the attached and you should be able to replicate. • ______________________________________________ • Fernando,Basically the issue is that users are having trouble registering on the HRA site. This is an issue • that I brought up during the HTTPs migration, but you were unable to replicate the issue. • However, now it is very easyto reproduce.For some reason, many people are getting an error message "SSN isalready in use" when • they are attempting to register on the site (Participant_setup.asp). I've looked in the database • at the existing SSNs, but there are not any that match the numbers that I am entering. See the previous screenshots for what info I am entering. So, this is afalse error. • Something else is prompting this error message that we needto fix. So, basically we need • to look at the error validation on thispage to see why people are getting this message. Let me know if that clears up the issue.Brian • ENVIRONMENT: • TEST: http://www.lifestart.net/test_hra/ • DATABASE in PRODUCTION • Testing: • I wil reproduce the reported error, with the same in the screen shots received • After that I will make a query against the database of production to inspect the data • RESULT: • I could reproduce the same case, that the one received in the attached screen shots. • But in the database, the SSN was already existing in the database, so is OK that fir this case the system show this message error of “SSN already in use” becouse the SSN typed is in the database. • Author: Pablo I.
