  4. Activity #1 – Stereotypes/Myths • Divide into smaller groups. • Brainstorm and create a list of stereotypes and myths about the bisexual identity and community. • Introduce group members and share lists with the entire group. • Group with the most unique list wins a prize!

  6. Exploring & Debunking the Stereotypes/Myths • Discussion Questions: • Other stereotypes/myths? • Where do these stereotypes/myths come from? • How are these stereotypes/myths formed? • How might these stereotypes/myths be incorrect?

  7. BI-ngo • Break into five smaller groups. • Each group creates team name/identity and chooses one person to represent the team. • Team with the most points wins! • In the case of a tie, a final question will be asked and team closest to the answer wins!

How to be an Ally How to Be An Ally to A Bisexual Person • Believe that I exist. • When I tell you I'm bisexual, please don't try to talk me into redefining my identity into something more comfortable for you. • Celebrate bisexual culture along with me. • Please don't try to convince me that people who lived bisexual lives in the past would have been gay if they had lived today. • Validate my frustration with the gay and lesbian community when they ignore or exclude bisexuals. • Ask me, if appropriate, about my other-sex relationships and my same-sex relationships. • If there is some sort of bisexual scandal in the news, don't use it as an opportunity to make derisive remarks about bisexuals generally. • When I'm not around, or any other bisexual, speak up when bisexual people are being defamed or excluded.
