Course Description • An introduction to computing and its impact on society from a user’s perspective. • Topics: • File management with operating system (Windows Explorer) • Beautification using text formatters and word processing (MS Word) • Computation using spreadsheets (Excel) • Web site critique, design and development (MS Publisher and FrontPage)

  8. Learning Outcomes (Lab) • Students will be able to use applications software competently including: • Microsoft Windows Notepad • Microsoft Word (word processor) • Microsoft Excel (spreadsheet) • E-mail and web browsers • A web page development product
