  2. Target of the safety seminar • Highlight the importance of lift workers safety • Increase the understanding of lift accidents • Lobby EN81-80 to improve workers safety. • Getting all the players involved • Getting Ministerium motivated to require safety improvements on existing lifts

  3. Involved parties • Partisipants from different parties over 50 persons • Helth and Safety authorities • Market control • Inspection bodies • Proberty management • KONE, Otis, Schindler, Thyssen... • Workers unions • Workers • Finnish lift assosiation • Authirity of the Finnish Ministerium responsible for lifts.

  4. Result of the Seminar • Ministerium will greate a working group to improve the safety on existing lifts. Starting in September. • SNEL (safety norm for existing lifts)risks understanding improved. Includes also workers safety risks • HSL( Health & safety) and market control authorities noted that there is cap on safety • SFS 5880 norm will be updated soon. • Common understanding that improvements are needed.
