Gilman Scholarship • 800 scholarships of up to $5,000 for US undergrad study abroad awarded yearly • Applicants must be Pell Grant recipients • Preference given to students studying in non-traditional sites (outside western E.U. and Australia)
NEW: Gilman Critical Need Language Supplement • Gilman recipients now eligible to receive additional $3,000 Critical Need Language Supplement • Total possible award of up to $8,000. • Favored languages: Arabic, Chinese, Turkic, Persian, Indic, Korean, Russian
Fulbright • us.fulbrightonline.org/ • 1 year grants to conduct research abroad • Teaching Assistantships also available • Faculty and Staff Exchanges!
Freeman ASIA Grants • Provides US undergrads with funding for study abroad in East or Southeast Asia • Awards up to $7,000 • Provides recipients with the opportunity to explore Asian culture and languages • Grantees expected to share their knowledge upon return to the US
NSEP • NSEP Boren Undergraduate ScholarshipsNSEP Boren Graduate FellowshipsNational Flagship Language Program • Arabic, Korean, Mandarin, Persian and Russian • 2 year award: 1st year in U.S. studying foreign language, 2nd year spent overseas
