  3. What is historic about the Kawarau Bungy • Kawarau Bridge Bungy is historic because it was the first 43 metre bridge jump, founded by AJ Hackett and Henry Van Ash. Kawarau Bridge Bungy is the only jump that you can either choose to bob above the water, touch the water or be fully immersed in water. There are Tens of thousands jumps each year of this bungy.
