Aztec Poem By Saleh Al-Khulaifi & Mohammed Al-Naimi 7D
I am a priest I kill a lot of men I kill for the sun I kill them in a den We have a king Who enjoys his throne He also never dies He never gets thrown
We have too many soldiers They are too very brave They have luck on their side They know how to behave We have some farmers They worked day and night They get sacrificed everyday And they cannot have a fight
We also have some slaves They worked so very hard They didn’t get any thanks Except that they worked bad One day Gods game We gave them a lot of gold They were so strong And they were so very bold
We took them too the place we sacrifice And they weren’t too happy They covered it with pictures And then they were happy Then one day they started war And killed our huge army It turned out they were men And were a little army
We fought as hard as we could But we had no chance They had a thing called guns That were so advanced We grew so very mad We killed our king, Montezuma Yet then we were so week in front of them They did not show any mercy
I cant explain how tough they were They were too good allays So we couldn’t do anything We just gave up All the people who died for nothing And were thrown from up Too bad we didn’t settle things Because tomorrow the sun will not go up.
