  3. Background • After a disaster there is an immediate need to begin recovery operations • The scene is chaotic as workers try to organize equipment to accomplish the recovery task • Tracking equipment and having situational awareness of progress are keys to a successful recovery

  4. Project Overview • GPS data will be used to track resources • All GPS devices should report to a central database • User’s in the field should be able to update some information • User’s in a disaster recovery center should be able to run reports
