  2. Who is He? Elijah McCoy was born on May 2, 1844, in Colchester, Ontario, Canada. He trained to become an engineer in Scotland while he was a teenager. Unable to find work as an engineer, Elijah soon worked at a railroad. Then he created his first invention, the first steam engine lubricator. He died in October 10, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan.

  4. How did he impact society? The steam engine lubricator help train driver all over. It evenly coated the axles and reduced the amount of time fixing the train.
