May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. • --2 Corinthians 13.14 NIV
Pastor: This is the Word of God for the people of God. • Congregation: Thanks be to God.
When you are in fellowship with the Holy Spirit we know that we are saved--no matter what anyone says
29“For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to • be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he • might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30 And those • whom he predestined he also called, and those whom • he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he • also glorified. What then shall we say to these things?” • --Romans 8.29-30 ESV
16And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another • advocate to help you and be with you forever— • 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because • it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, • for he lives with you and will be in you. • --John 14.16-17 NIV
Question # 1: If God is for us, who can be against us? • (Romans 8:31)
But when the Helper comes, whom I will send to • you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds • from the Father, he will bear witness about me. • --John 15.26 ESV
Question #2: He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? • (Romans 8.32 ESV)
25“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what • you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what • you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more • than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 And which of • you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? • 28 And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the • lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, 29 yet I • tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not… (cont’d) • --Matthew 6.25-33 ESV
…arrayed like one of these. 30 But if God so clothes the grass • of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into • the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? • 31 Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ • or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the Gentiles seek all these things, and your heavenly Father knows you need them all. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and • his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. • --Matthew 6.25-33 ESV
Question #3: Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? • (Romans 8.33 ESV)
17 ...the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you as orphans… • --John 14.17-18a ESV
Question #4: Who then is the one who condemns? • (Romans 8:34a)
No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, • who was raised to life—is at the right • hand of God and is also interceding for us. • --Romans 8.34b ESV
Question #5: Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? • (Romans 8.35a ESV)
The Lord your God is in your midst, • a mighty one who will save; • he will rejoice over you with gladness; • he will quiet you by his love; • he will exult over you with loud singing. • --Zephaniah 3.17 ESV
