  1. Exhortation • Many scriptures exhort us to mission work: • (Gal 6:10) As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. • (1 John 3:17-18) But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. • Past number of years we have been hindered in fulfilling this scripture • Canadian Government does not allow us to send to the ACCF • Needed to establish our own organization within Canada

  2. ACCMBC • Current trustees - Brothers Frank Binder, Doug Savin, Edmund Reinhardt, Werner Weinhardt and Gary Tomic (chairman). • Treasurer Sis. Jessie Nitz and Assist Treasurer Bro. Werner Weinhardt • Main presence is through website www.accmbc.org and through mailing lists

  3. Missions • Missions are both foreign and domestic • Foreign • Missions (spreading the gospel) • Schools (education) • Humanitarian (food, clothing, shelter) • Domestic • Work teams • Website (disseminating information) • Singing groups (e.g. Common Garments) • Support projects such as the Lighthouse after school program • Shared equipment among the churches (e.g. projector)

  4. ACCMBC Provides • Means of donating to projects that are outside the domain of the local church • Central contact point for mission related activity • Website that contains the most up-to-date information on missions, donations, sermons, church websites, presentations • Mailing lists (more on that later)

  5. Examples • Work teams both domestic and foreign • Equipment to be shared among ACC churches • Tax receipt for travel expenses when conducting church activities (topics, meetings, sermons) • Disaster relief • Short term mission work • Supporting mission activity

  6. Mailing list • Located at lists.accmbc.org • Means of receiving information via e-mail from others, without them knowing your address • You maintain control of your e-mail address • Control which e-mails you are interested in • Change or remove your e-mail address

  7. Mailing lists • Missionary news • News from the missions • Provides information of upcoming work teams, needs that arise, new initiatives, monthly mission focus • Devotional • Many inspirational items are e-mails that are forwarded rather than authored by the sender. Some would rather only receive inspirational items that are authored by a mailing list member. An example of an authored item is a periodic devotional article by Elder Bro. Mark Igic. • Prayer • North American prayer request list. Elder Bro. Kirk Huber had started this, but now it is hosted with this list • Inspirational • Poems, stories, experiences that would be an inspiration to others

  8. How to sign up • Sign up on the paper going around or sign up at lists.accmbc.org • To send a prayer request, you send an e-mail to prayer@accmbc.org. That distributes to all those on the list. • Archives are stored, so you can view all the e-mails sent to all the lists.
