RTI • All the head post offices are designated as nodal agency for receipt of applications. • Applications received on behalf of all the central government departments. • Transferred to CPIOs of concerned Ministries/Departments.
RTI • It should not be forwarded to Divisional offices. • Not be forwarded to the Head of the office of the concerned Ministries/Departments. • Instrument in respect of Fees paid if any should also be sent to concerned CPIOs.
RTI • Such application should reach CPIOs within 5 days of receipt at POs. • An intimation regarding forwarding of applications to CPIO may be sent to applicant. • No fee is required to be collected for forwarding of application.
RTI • Application should be forwarded through registered post. • A register should be maintained in respect of applications forwarded. • To identify CPIOs of concerned Ministries/Departments, Web sites may be accessed.

RTI • The list of CPIOs will be published by all the departments in their web site. • All the Central Government departments are having their own web site. • If the information is sought from Postal Department, then also it should be forwarded to concerned CPIO.
