Dissection Guidelines • Treat specimen with respect • Clean and return dry tools in boxes • Wet pins on paper towel • Study specimen – be prepared for lab practical next class (scales and fish anatomy)
Procedure • Follow instructions on handout • Omit scale examination and brain observation
Turn In • 3 drawings • After skin is pulled back showing muscle blocks (myomeres) • Gill – brachial arch, gill filaments, gill rakers • Internal anatomy – pyloric ceca, stomach, swim bladder, gonad, intestine, pancreas, liver, heart
