  5. Interesting Fact • Pony Express guy • The elderly man in the waiting room who continuously talks about the Pony Express is Byron P. Cavnar, an 89-year-old local resident who was in the waiting room when the film crew arrived. • Director Barry Levinson was amused by Cavnar’s interest in the Pony Express, so he let Cavnar continue talking as the cameras rolled; all the dialog was spontaneous and unscripted.
