  2. Today we are going to visit our local community helpers. A community helper is a person who has a job that helps make our community a better and safer place to live. What community do you live in?

  4. HOSPITAL The first place we will look for Community Helpers is at the hospital. There are many Community Helpers who work at a hospital. Click on the hospital picture to see one community helper that works at the hospital. Highlands Medical Center Scottsboro, Alabama

  5. Another Community Helper who works near a hospital is a paramedic. A paramedic is a medical worker who helps take care of a person in an emergency.
