  3. Claire likes school and she has many friends. • Claire likes to chat to boys and girls. • There is one boy who she really likes. His name is Sporty Steve.

  4. Sporty Steve likes to hang out with other girls as well as Claire. • This makes Claire confused. • Does Sporty Steve really like her?

  5. As Confused Clairewatches Sporty Steve chat and laugh with other girls, she becomes jealous. • Claire wants the girls to go away. • Claire wants Sporty Steve to hang out with her.

  6. Sometimes Confused Claire gets really upset. • “Why does he ignore me? • What have I done wrong? • I want Sporty Steve all to myself!”

  7. Sometimes Confused Claire wishes that she didn’t like Sporty Steve so much. • Sometimes Confused Claire wishes that all those other girls who chat to Sporty Steve would move school.

  8. She says, “I can’t cope with this anymore. • I need to talk to Sporty Steve about how I feel.”

  9. Sporty Steve and Confused Claire have a chat. • Claire tells Sporty Steve that she really likes him. • Sporty Steve says that he likes Claire. • Sporty Steve says he will not ignore her anymore.

  10. Now Claire knows that Sporty Steve likes her. • Now Claire is okay with Sporty Steve hanging out with other girls. • Now Sporty Steve and Confused Claire can become really good friends.

  11. Content Claire Confused Claire has now become Content Claire: • content that Sporty Steve likes her; • content that she can control her emotions better; • content that she can become good friends with Sporty Steve.
