DIRECT QUOTES • Author’s words used exactly as in the text. • Either in paragraph with quotation marks or indented depending on word count of quote • Find this in your referencing guide • Referenced in the text with page number • Find this in your referencing guide • There is a limit to the amount of direct quotes you use
PARAPHRASING Paraphrasing is your summary of the ideas in the text you have read. It is NOT JUST CHANGING THE WORDING. If you just change the wording: THAT IS PLAGIARISM!!!!! PARAPHRASES NEED TO BE REFERENCED (See Referencing Guide)
