My Future Plans I chose this site because it is the type of facility that I want to end up in with my future career as a rehabilitation counselor. Being a part of helping these patients through an extremely difficult physical and emotional time in their lives has given me an overwhelming sense of fulfillment and achievement. I am starting graduate school in the fall at UNC-Chapel Hill in the Rehabilitation Counseling and Psychology Program. To have already had the opportunity to experience one-on-one patient interaction as a volunteer at Coastal Rehabilitation Hospital, it has helped prepare me tremendously for graduate school.
Excellent Cite for Future Volunteers! YES!!! I would recommend this cite to any other students. Being able to follow a psychologist around and observe how they interact with patients is an extremely helpful learning tool that not many students are able to experience as undergraduates.
